Faculty week is finally done and students will officially start coming in on Monday. I’m semi excited but at the same time, I feel like this is going to be a stressful summer. Hopefully my students this year will stay quiet like how they were last year. Going to be fun building all these projects but they have to stay in control. Lets hope for the best summer yet before college begins.

I haven’t had the time to post my daily stuff lately but it’s pretty similar, besides the addition of work that had been added.

Haven’t hung out with anyone lately and been trying to focus with getting ready to deal with kids.

Dragon boat is getting tough as Long Beach is right around the corner. Glad to say that I THINK I moved into Gold boat? Not sure but I’ve been practicing in it at least. Doing race pieces and I think it’s a bit too early to start with those. Time to really go all out since it could be my final race with the team before college starts. 

Aim High started yesterday and it seems to be going pretty good. Got most of the lesson planning done and most of the experiments that we are doing seems pretty cool. Thank god I moved up one grade level because Physics is way more interesting than Biology. I believe we need to plan one more week but it should be fine as of now. Hopefully tomorrow will be good because it’s at Lick Wilmerding. Thank god I live a few blocks away and won’t have to wake up at 6 just for work like every other day. 

06.03.12 - What did i do today? If I remember correctly, stayed home and watched my cousins.

06.04.12 - Stayed home all day till dragon boat practice started at 6. Went to practice and that was about it. Started out as stroke but moved to row 2. I hate using a wood paddle.

06.05.12 - Went to SF School Alliance to turn in my forms and paper work. Hung out with Amy till around 3 and came home. Simple day.

06.06.12 - Stayed home like Monday till dragon boat started. Stroked the whole practice and went 10 times across the lake. Seems to be more tiring than doing race pieces. 

05.30.12 - Stayed home all day and went to Meritus Scholar Award Ceremony. That thing was pretty cheap considering the amount of money and how fancy they make everything look. It seems like it wasn’t formal at all and it was all a joke. Met my donor and it was pretty tough to talk to her since it’s part of Kaiser and only one person came to represent. Got some purple kow and went home.

05.31.12 - Had a orientation with Maisin at the Main Library and we talked about the requirements, the resources, etc. Saw a few people that I haven’t seen in a while and caught up with them. Had to fill out forms but I can’t turn them in yet since I’m not 18 and I need my parents signature. Got some pizza from them and it wasn’t so good. Also, got free pens, a bag, and a water bottle.

06.01.12 - Woke up early to cook food for Joyce & Emily since they were coming over to sign my yearbook. Made baked potato and watermelon smoothie. Didn’t do much since Joyce had to leave early for her sister. Chatted, listened to music, etcetc. 

06.02.12 - Dragon boat bright and early. Led warm-ups which was pretty hard since there weren’t much people there. First time paddling as stroke and it feels great! Now if only Ross would let me stroke for race days… Had a noob behind me and he fucked kill my paddle. Now my carbon fiber is cracked and I think I need a replacement blade. FML.. Not sure what to do now since I shouldn’t use it till I get it fixed up. Back to my woodie? So dam heavy. I should really make them pay for this… Went home, napped and went out for dinner since it was my dads birthday. 

Started off my day at mid-night, talking on the phone with Nancy. Haven’t had a late night phone call in so long. Especially with her… Went to sleep around 1:40AM and woke up pretty early.. That was such a stupid decision. Stayed home basically all day and ate like a fatass. Went to Costco around 3 with my Uncle and got some more food. Come home, ATE some more before dinner. Dinner game and ate more… Oh what the hell is wrong with my life?! LOL! I really need to stop being a fatass… Sums up my day basically. Too lazy to do anything. Can’t wait for Meritus Scholar Award Ceremony tomorrow!

Today was the first official day of summer. Woke up around 10:30 and ate. Met up Kimberly @ dt at 12:30 and went to Fluffy Snow in sunset to try out their desserts. It was pretty good. Will come back one day for more. Walked to Irving since we didn’t know what to do and ended up heading over to Stones. Walked around, etc… what else is there to do in a mall… Left around 4:30.

Pretty nice way to start off my summer with Kimberly. Haven’t seen her / talked to her in real life for almost 2 years… Glad we got to hang out and update each other. Really going to miss this girl once college starts.

Woke up and ate cereal before I went to school for an event. Got a text from Vanessa that she got there at 9 even though i told it to be there at 10. Totally not my fault. Chatted for about half an hour before everyone showed up. Set up and waited for show to start. Show went alright.. Minor technical difficulties. We definitely need some sound absorbing walls. Echos really ruins the performance. Cleaned up and got a free hotdog. Anyways, easy day for me to make some cash. 

Decided to not go to prom and instead, spent a day with a Kelly teaching her how to use my camera so she can help me take pictures for graduation. Turned out to be a pretty good day. Arrived at Japantown around noon and met up at Daiso… God I feel stupid for not knowing where places are LOL! Walked around and chatted about life. Gave her my camera so she can get the hang of it and she learned pretty quickly. Went inside the malls to look around since it was too crowded on the streets. Decided to sit near the stage and watched something completely boring ahahah. Took some pictures while teaching her something different every shot. Went to the parade since it was about to start and our spot was horrible. We ended up pushing our way to the front and because we had a professional looking camera, they didn’t stop us from walking even closer to the street! Day well spent.

Woke up today not remember if I had school and I told my dad that I did. God dam I’m stupid. Went to school for practice before game.. blahblahblah. Lost to washington again but I guess it doesn’t matter anymore. We’ll probably end up in the 3rd seed and will play against either Lowell or Wash again in the semi-finals. If we make championships, I don’t know how I will attend since it’s the same day as the dragon boat race. OML… Dragon boat or baseball.

By far the worst race experience I ever had in my dragon boat career. This whole day was totally bullshit.

Woke up at 5:45 and go to Farrah’s house around 6:15 for a ride to the lake. Got to the lake and just stood around doing nothing… I knew it was pointless to show up to raceday on time. 

Every race we had today was such a drag. Didn’t expect us to do that badly throughout the whole day. Failed the seeding race. Semi-finals came along and we were missing four paddlers because we were in the same heat as our first crew. They decided to take our members just because they didn’t even enough people. Like really now? Are you fucking serious…. Our boat is weak enough and you decide to take one of our strong engines. I know we’re on the second boat but show some respect to us also. You can’t just take our paddlers if we’re already short of paddlers in the first place. 

Don’t even get me started about our final race… Everything was horrible. Timing sucked, people were not staying focus, horrible start… How much worst can things get… Ended up 3rd place D division. The lowest medal I ever received.  

These are the reason I hate the team so much and decided to quit. Everything is so badly organized. We didn’t have enough food, not enough people showed up, some people came late, some people left early… WTF is this. It’s race day for a reason and if you made the decision to race, come and stay for the whole fucking day.

For one, I’m not even in the team anymore and I was forced to race because you people didn’t have enough paddlers. I was originally going to steer but guess what… only steered one race. Don’t expect me ever help out again if you’re going to end up telling me last minute that I’m racing and you throw me in a bullshit boat that’s not even full of paddlers. 

I really want to create my own team in the summer just for sprint race. I bet you the current coaching staff would not allow this though. This team is such a joke. All people are good at is complaining. 

The past few days drained the strength out of me. I don’t even care about school anymore. All I want is to graduate and move on with life. 

Baseball is going pretty good and we have a pretty good shot at the title this year since all the teams are pretty equal. Each game we play, we end up giving it away at the last moment. Got to stop being so nice and handing other teams the win.

Race day is in about one day and I really don’t want to wake up for this. It’s my last race with this team but again, I’m being forced to race. I need the steering experience and in order for me to steer the race, I must paddle at the same time. I feel like B boat might actually do as well as A boat now since we have a lot of beef. Let’s see how this goes…

I came home today and checked my email, noticing that I received an email saying “Congratulation Maisin Scholar!” I can’t believe I won this scholarship and Meritus, both huge scholarship foundations in the San Francisco Area. Having these saved me a total of $21,000 and receiving funding from CalGrant, my tuition is practically covered for my first year of college. Hope that I will end up with more scholarships so I wouldn’t have to pay later in the future. 

Normal school day with regular schedule. Time passed by pretty fast today in all classes. Left at 1:20 for baseball game at Golden Gate Park playing against Washington. We should of totally won that game. Very close though… 8-11. Have to limit the errors.

Found out cousins were out eating sushi so told them to get me something and they did! YUMMY! Then cousin came back and drove to get some Teaway.

Time to get started on my homework because I’m starting to fall behind.
